Taken Care Of was inspired by a barn that stopped me outside of Trumansburg on the way past Ithaca, NY. But it wasn’t just the scene itself—it was what it brought back.

Growing up, barns always felt familiar. Car rides, looking out the window, wondering what the history was and what stories were held inside. They carried a sense of closeness. Of being taken care of.

This painting holds that feeling. The deep, grounded color. The way the light stretches across the land. Everything steady. Everything held. It’s a piece rooted in memory, comfort, and the quiet strength of places that stay with us.
