You Are Worth It

I once had a #prospect tell me she didn’t want to move forward because she didn’t think I was doing enough volunteer work compared to others in my line of work.

That was her reason.

At that time I was devastated.

Especially as the constant voice in my head as well as others experience, that pesky, ”am I enough, am I doing enough?”

Little did she know I sat on 2 boards, gave loads of hours of time to future designers and marketers every year and personally contributed funds to a local not for profit yearly. And I still thought, is it enough.

I felt ashamed for a long time. Until I realized everyone will judge you in some way or another.

And Here’s why it shouldn’t matter.

They perceive you where they are in their life not yours. Most of the time what we think we know about others are our own stories rolling around in our own minds.

So the next time someone makes you feel like that, know you’re doing everything you can and you’re always enough. And never let someone dictate your value based on their perception.
