Winter has a way of slowing things down, inviting moments of reflection and creativity. As the world outside settles into its quiet, icy stillness, I’ve been channeling that energy into my latest paintings.
Lately, I’ve been especially drawn to the way winter light softens a landscape—the golden hues against snow-covered fields, the way bare trees stand resilient against the cold. My newest piece, Sunlit Companions, embodies that feeling—two trees overlooking a frozen pond, bathed in a soft, warming glow.
Beyond the studio, this season has been full of exciting opportunities. My work is currently on display at Railroad Street Gallery and Union Place Coffee, giving me the chance to share my art in spaces where people can connect with it in their daily lives. Another huge highlight—my artwork is being featured on HGTV’s Fixer to Fabulous! The first piece will air on February 25th, with more appearing later in the season. I’m also thrilled to be partnering with them to sell both reproductions and originals in their stores!
In between painting, I’ve been diving into studies of the masters, watching and learning from their techniques on YouTube. Boats have been a recurring subject in my work lately—there’s something about their structure and movement that fascinates me, and I’m excited to see where this exploration takes me.
Winter may be a time of stillness, but for me, it’s been one of momentum, growth, and new creative adventures. Thanks for following along on this journey—I can’t wait to share more soon!
